TERIUM®
IS SUSTAINABLE®
In 2007, we created TERIUM®, a 100%
recycled material from long life cartons.
The cartons are collected by waste pickers cooperatives and then recycled, promoting social inclusion in the process.
TERIUM®
THE PROCESS®
Basically, the long life cartons are composed of 75% paper and 25% of a plastic + aluminum mixture.
In the recycling process, the paper is separated from plastic and aluminum.
No chemicals are added in the process, only water and pressurized air.
Once cleaned and dried, the plastic + aluminum mixture is agglomerated and extruded into pellets, which will be the basic material of TERIUM® sheets.
The paper generated in recycling is then intended for various applications, such as the packaging industry.
